From Klinsmann's wiki:

"Under his guidance, Bayern reached the quarter final of the Champions League, losing to eventual champion FC Barcelona.
Bayern's record during the 2008–09 UEFA Champions League was six wins, three draws, and one loss (to Barcelona). In the Bundesliga, Bayern was only threepoints off first place, with five matches to play, when Klinsmann was replaced as head coach due to a difference of opinion with the club's Board of Directors. Bayern's record under Klinsmann during the 2008–09 Bundesliga season was 16 wins, six draws, and seven losses.
"

Not to mention his record as an international coach; widely recognised as rejuvenating Germany by bringing in a new generation of young players, and generally doing very well currently with the United States.

Wouldn't say he failed at Bayern - he didn't win the Bundesliga or the Champions League, but he certainly didn't suck. Perhaps you could argue he's actually very inexperienced as a club manager and therefore might struggle with transfers and the like - that could be a fair point against him.

QF in the CL with Bayern isn't all that impressive. Not bad, not great. He didn't even last a full season there before getting sacked, and he had 6 draws and 7 losses. That's pretty poor for that club in only 29 games. After his stint with Germany, his players said he was tactically inept. US players have now said the same thing. He's struggled with the US and has generally not improved the style of play at all. If anything it may have gotten worse. Plenty of us Yanks are not impressed with him. That+the inexperience you mentioned make it a big NO in my eyes. He wouldn't come anyways. Klinsy loves him some sunny California.

Pereira is a man who most fans are happy with, a man who is out of contract - no reason why Everton shouldn't be contacting him - if Kenwright is listening to the fans...

Hughes? O'Neill?

If we're gonna get a crap coach, he might as well be entertaining. Hire Joey Barton as a player manager, let him popcorn Brendan Rodgers, set aside a few hundred thousand for the press conference fines, and enjoy the show/pray we don't get relegated.

Our reality show, Bumming Liverpool, would be legendary.

Drawing Barca in the quarterfinal would be the death knell for most clubs in the Champions League;
Six draws and seven losses in the domestic league in 29 games is not worse than Moyes' record this season of fifteen draws and six losses in 36 games;
He didn't look tactically inept when he coached Germany, but I'll bow to your better knowledge of more recent events and i'll agree that he would be unlikely to leave California for L4!

Oh Christ imagine it? That would be the ultimate double whammy, Mark Hughes with the Beehive badged shirt.

Bielsa - called Loco Bielsa.
Great coach and tactician, his Athletico Bilbao side played great in Europe 2 years back- beat ManU in Old Trafford

how on earth can the betting people know anything? do they have wire taps on kenwright's phones? NO

so stop ****ing listening to the bookies, they've got plenty wrong before.

in fact why would kenwright be doing anything right now at 9pm on a thursday?

Poyet has done a great job at Brighton, and been assistant at Spurs. Played at Real zaragossa, spurs and Chelsea, so he knows what it takes to get to the top. Won awards both in League One and Championship
