Bill is under more pressure on getting the right manager as its all or nothing. As a result I genuinely think a big name will arrive. This Lennon rumour is just that driven by some desperadoes in NI looking to make a few bob if the bookies like.

I want a puff of what you´re smoking.

For me, when it finally happens it will probably be massively underwhelming.

We'll see, someone in another thread made a valid point that a lot of European coaches work with little money (comparatively) on a regular basis, perhaps a foreign coach will have an eye like Moyes. I just don't see the board being able to detect the manager we need.

The board will know now that managers can work on a budget, and will need someone in the mold of Moyes, there doesn't seem to be much choice in the premiership for us, lets hope we avoid the old era of managers like O'Neil, Hughes.

Genuinely worries me that Kenwright will panic and go for that easy option.

Villa and the rs both took gambles last year on two young managers but both had premiership experience under their belt. If we look abroad we need a European coaches like the next Wenger and Jose who have done well in this league, we don't want to take a big risk tho, but kenwright wont have that kind of knowledge in identifying the star, lets hope Moyes gives us a tip or ask Walter Smith again.Ive heard good things about Eddie Howe

Some of the names being touted are depressing but I don't think Bill will go for a Hughes or O'Neill type appointment. He will want a Moyes type situation with a manager who has proven themselves at a smaller club wanting an opportunity to step up. We still have very good players at everton and there will be lots of managers who would fancy taking the job. Lets face it, if they do a good job, they know they have the job for a long time.

I haven't bothered reading this thread until this morning and I'm not going through 269 pages. I know that Tuchel has been mentioned but I don't think this link has been posted (if so sorry)

Great write up on him. Sounds like a Tuetonic Moyes.

Honestly don't know much about this guy, but the more I read about him the more I am intrigued.

Alas, I doubt Bill Kenwright knows he even exists.

Couple of names interest me, Solskjaer will have learnt alot from Ferguson whilst there and picked up his badges whilst at United, so good pedigree, and I watched a bit of Brighton whilst Chris Woods was playing there and liked what I saw from Gus Poyet. I know he came out defending Suarez, but I think it was more a case of looking out for a fellow countryman, not inexcusable, but not a reason to rule him out.

The poyet shows that he not aware of how he comes across when defending racists, and that puts me off him. We can do so much better/
