He's got a couple of young players going well this year, like McCarthy and McManaman, obviously not Everton class but at Wigan's level they're shining. He may do alright, and is a better candidate than some of the old timers who do the rounds, but I'm not entirely convinced.

Hmm yeah, don't really rate McManaman yet, McCarthy seems like a good buy. But he doesn't seem to have the same success at Moyes in buying gems at a really low price.

If you're a promising young footy player you're probably not going to choose Wigan in fairness, they may have approached the same players we did and they chose us for all anyone knows I guess. Moyes is one of the best for pinching a bargain though.

This is the sad thing, no way we are going to find someone who can do this for us again. No other manger in this league comes close to Moyes when buying players. Landrup did get Mictu for 2 million, could be a one off tho, but we need a manager who knows a bargain and can improve them la lescott, mikel.

We'll see, someone in another thread made a valid point that a lot of European coaches work with little money (comparatively) on a regular basis, perhaps a foreign coach will have an eye like Moyes. I just don't see the board being able to detect the manager we need.
