This thread gives me the fear.
I, also like the idea of change but I just don't get the indignation at Moyes having a relatively positive impact on the club from some posters. We can acknowledge Moyes' contribution, acknowledge that it may take a while to move forward and acknowledge that some posters are a little worried about the reliance on the board to make a good decision.True, but its very realistic thats going to happen.
I'm looking forward to the change personally anyway, what else can we do?
Oh right so you would rather win the FA cup one in 8 years of the premiership rather than seeing club progression and then get relegated.
Gives me the horn. This thread gives me the fume

I think it's embarrassing that the number 1 contender is Martinez, surely there has to be a better pedigree off manager interested in the job?
Although I accept its a forgone conclusion, I think a manger used to the top of the table would be an improvement.
Anyone who doesn't think Everton are going to struggle without Moyes is incredibly stupid. I don't mean to be licking Moyes out but I just don't see it. anyone we get must be in the Moyes mold to continue his work, not tarnish it and start again.

Sorry mate you could well be right but well you could also be wrong. Because you or others say it it doesn't make it a fact I'm afraid. It's likely in the short term a manager may find it hard but again that's speculation to basically state a manager can't be replaced seems to me wrong really I could call it stood but it's not is just we gave different opinions and persons hopes
I know mate, I'm with you in that respect and I'm not getting at you, I just don't know how some posters don't get that a fair few on here are a bit worried that the managers mentioned may not do the same or better than Moyes.Im not in the camp that Moyes was a bad manager infact I think he was a very good one, doesnt mean I cant look forward to the next appointment hopefully taking us forward.

Thanks, this is what I am saying, but people on here seem to think a completely new style of management/football is needed even though Everton as far as club progression is concerned are a success. Do people seriously think spending 3/4 years on a new model of football is going to make us compete with the top 4/5 even more than we are now? look at Swansea, they seem to get smacked by all the big teams and take points of the smaller teams as do Liverpool. Lets not even get started on Wigan.I may be misinterpreting what he's said, but I think he's saying at this current time, under these circumstances imposed by the board, Moyes was doing a very good job. He and others are just likely nervous about the transitional period. It could take some time to adapt, especially to somebody like Martinez's style.
We may well have to take a backward step to go forward as these where Moyes' players.
