Moyes sacked by United

And just to add to that, we always knew that people within United had an agenda. On one hand they wanted David to have a dynasty like Ferguson and Sir Matt Busby. Hence the 6yr contract. Hence why it was done so quickly. But the talk within the establishment was the Class of 92 being a management team with Giggs the main man.

How could we get on with our jobs with freedom when we knew they were waiting like vultures for this to happen? The United kids taking the mantle.

For David's sake they should have just given the job to Mourinho. If he walked after 3 years pursue the "Manchester United Dream".

There was a clear conflict of interest. There still is and LVG will feel it if he doesn't buck his ideas up soon.

It won't be long before the public crowning of Giggs and co builds up again.

What was the headset for? Who did you talk to? Did you just enjoy feeling like you were a call centre operator?
These are the real answers we want, FFS Steve!

The headset was for myself and fellow staff to record our observations during the match which we could then play back and analyse after games.

One of these then? I think it would have suited you better tbh.

Ferguson words on Moyes, I agree with some of it.

Ferguson points out how he tried to talk Moyes into retaining Mike Phelan as assistant manager but the new man chose not to listen and brought in his own backroom staff. “Maybe David felt that at such a massive club he had to be sure that all corners were covered in terms of his support system. I felt that network was already there, with plenty of great people already in important slots

Moyes should have kept the same backroom and brought his own team in slowly.

identifies how his successor went against United traditions by adopting a slower playing style that, in his day, would not have been tolerated.
“The reason for playing at speed was that United players had been accustomed to operating that way,” he writes. “If the tempo slowed for any reason, I would be into them at half-time. ‘This is not us,’ I would say. Playing with speed never hindered our results. It was our way: energy and determination in the last third of the pitch

Ferguson described as “nonsense” the suggestion that Moyes had inherited a team in decline and says the problem for the former Everton manager was that he had found it “a massive jump” to move to Old Trafford. “He hadn’t realised just how big United is as a club,” Ferguson writes.
