Moyes sacked by United

I almost agree, then I remember how classless he was in the summer, then I go neutral.

It's like going out with a girl for years, you're settled together, the passions long gone but you were both happy enough, maybe you a bit more than her, but you remember the early days together and you love them because of that. Eventually, some big shot comes in, she thinks she's outgrown you and can do better. She dumps you. You try to finish on good terms, because you remember the good times, you genuinely wish her well. She thinks so little of you, a few months after your breakup, she shoots her mouth of about you all over the place, laughing at you, talking you down, trying to take you to the cleaners, it transpires she was actually cheating on you, started getting with the big shot while you were still together.

Now, it's a year later, you're happier than you have been in a long time, your new girl just makes the world seem a lighter, brighter, better place. She on the other hand has been ruined by the big shot, rumours are going round he's trying out replacements behind her back for a while, she's miserable and has realised a bit too late how good she had it.

When you think about it like that, it's easier to sympathise with Moyes. If he comes out, shows some humility and looks back on the last year as a series of massive mistakes on his part and apologies for the way he treated us, time really would be a good healer. If he, however, comes out and tries to maintain he went about things the right and blame everyone else for his own short comings, the best I can feel toward him is nothing at all.

Very much this.

If he continues his attitude towards Everton and doesn't apologise for what he said as far as I'm concerned he's not welcome at Goodison Park.

Breaking News: Brendan Rodgers to replace David Moyes as United manager.

Oh, what a brilliant bank holiday weekend this would be...

Every team from Southampton downwards would get relegated with this level of decline over one season.. Those above United wouldn't entertain him. So it's a no-brainer (Toon, Villa, West Brom) or another league. But on the plus side he can have a nice holiday in Brazil this summer.

But it's Round, Neville and co who should be really worried about their careers.
