Moyes sacked by United

Is he old enough to be lamped in the jaw?

He most certainly is! He has a queue forming!

Even my mate who works for FIFA who tries to see things from different perspectives even though he is a huge Evertonian has questioned his mental stability. :hayee:

I was actually embarassed to tell anyone when I first found out, especially on here...
but it is just too funny :D :D :D

We got Moyesy the sack HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHHAAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Absolutely this, unbelievable he was given a new contract on more money. They could have taken 50m off Chelsea for him and gone and bought Costa or Falcao instead.

Rooney doesn't even belong in the top 5 forwards in world football. It's madness.

Does anybody think Moyes regrets leaving us? Forgetting about his pay off from United which will be a couple of million on top of the additional wages he got working for them for nine months.

I mean, he didn't appear too arsed about Everton for a good while, so maybe he thinks the experiment of trying his luck as United was worth it, even with the way it ended.

I guess when he realises his stock has fallen and he won't get to anywhere near our level for a number of years might make him regret leaving us in the way he did. I think he probably got all caught up in the romanticism of being hand-picked by Sir Alex.

We all needed a change anyway. I hope he can see that. Now that he's gotten his comeuppance for acting like a big man I forgive him and hope he is a moderate success in the future. May he go to Swansea and keep them in the top half forevermore. Hopefully he has learned that one does not trifle with Everton lightly.

I feel a bit bad for him now, but he still got what was coming to him. He was in over his head, and treated us poorly when he left, so he earned this. But now that it's over I hope we can now completely let go of the past and look to the future, which is very bright.

I imagine right now he's regretting how things played out, but I think both he and Everton needed a change. I think it requires very special circumstances for a manager and club to fit together for the very long term without eventually needing a change.

Just like any job. It's a rare case that someone stays at the same company for 10+ years without wanting a change in position.

I do think United need to get shot of Rooney and with hindsight should have sold him last summer.
It's a good job he stayed or they'd have been bottom half of the table. He carried them in the first half of the season.

I think it's time Rooney dropped back into midfield though. He's reluctant to do it, but if Van Gaal does come in he likes a deep lying playmaker and Rooney may be forced to play it.

Think Rooney will do a very good job there.

He has expressed a desire to play further back as his career moves on before...I think he's at his best further back actually, he has great vision.

Feller in your avatar has been the best for years!

I might be wrong, but I thought I read a few times Rooney had big run ins with Ferguson over any suggestion he was dropped back into midfield.

Yeah, I'm thinking what I'm half-remembering is him saying he wants to play forever and will drop back as his legs go.

He might not think they have yet.

What I wouldn't give for a Pirlo at Everton.

when i score we riot said:
So, hypothetically: Bobby goes to the gunners. Kenwright goes back and hires Moyes, a real pienaar at spurs scenario. On a scale from toast to cheese, how furious are you?

On the "Mad" Frankie Fraser madometer I'd say "mad as a lorry".
