Moyes sacked by United

He is the new Steve Mclaren - he'll be off to Holland etc to rebuild his career before finally coming back to these shores and managing the mighty Doncaster or Barnsley or some other team of that ilk. Good luck Davey boy, maybe they will bring back the Anglo Italian Cup.

Think his last 12 months might have damaged his reputation to a point where he won't get that big job, he could well fade into obscurity job wise ala George Graham,Glenn Hoddle ,Howard Wilkinson.
at the moment I would think club chairmen looking for a manager would steer clear, certainly within the premiership anyhow.

It's remarkable how far his stock has fallen and how widely ridiculed and disliked he is.

A year ago, outside of Liverpool fans (and some of our support), you'd struggle to find anyone who had a bad word to say about him.

Now, I can't think of a single fan forum in the country that isn't laughing themselves silly with his latest comments.

Just asked my 3 year old to sing me a nice song, usually picks a nice nursey rhyme.
He gave a great rendition of 'stuck with Moyes'. He hasn't sang that for months and I honestly thought he would have forgotten about it.
I couldn't bring myself to reinforce it is no longer relevant, I just allowed him to enjoy the moment bless him.

He's turned down 7 jobs since being sacked by United apparently. I wonder what he's holding out for

He told British national newspapers: "I got my real first taste of the Champions League this year and I thought I showed I can manage at that level.

"I would like somewhere that would give me a chance of being in the Champions League or a club that has ambitions of being in the Champions League."

Moyes said he has rejected offers of jobs, adding: "I have had a couple of opportunities to go back in and chosen not to do anything just now.

"I am going to look for what I feel is the right opportunity. I would like to think I proved myself over the 11-year period at Everton and what I am capable of, and the level at which I want to manage.

The 51-year-old said his next job might not be in England, explaining: "It could be at home or abroad. I have always liked the thought of broadening my horizons and learning a bit more and at the moment I am quite comfortable watching and learning.

"I will go away and learn and look again to see what is happening. I will use United as an important experience in my managerial career. I feel I needed more time but I will use it to benefit me and help me in the coming jobs."

I read a comment recently that he wanted to have a crack at managing in another country. With that, a team that competes in the champions league.

He was out of his depth at Utd, a european powerhouse of a side with millions to spend and still couldn't handle it. Now he wants to swim further out and take on a team from another country, a different culture, language etc. Ha Ha

Maybe they speak Scottish in Austria or Poland ?

He's deffo gonna have to go abroad if he thinks he's getting CL footy. Problem would be his wage demands, if he's going to a smaller nation where there's two or three clubs battling for the title they're probably not gonna want to pay his fat wedge.
He's gonna either have to lose his ego (HA) or just realize he's actually achieved f-all and has a blank résumé

I'd like to see him managing Spain. They may have an opening soon.
Might be a good fit, but they'll all need some time for adjustment I reckon.

Not sure where I saw his comments mate, might be from a link on here for all I know, can't say I care enough about him to follow his epic farce with scholarly method like, just amused sufficiently to read snippets, and check whether he's bothered checking-in at Reality Hotel yet.

Edit:

Oh, thought you were asking for the source ffs, i've just read back to find it - doh!

Interesting interview from Nemanja Vidic yesterday. Confirming, without confirming, that Moyes did show Vidic and Ferdinand a dvd of how to defend like Jags lol

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-in-my-final-season-at-Manchester-United.html

Don't see an issue with that to be honest, if he wants Vidic and Ferdinand to play, say a zonal system they are not used to, and Jags and Distin have been great examples of it working, why not show them the intricate parts using the Everton players?

Its not teaching them how to be defenders, its just a visual aid to describe the new role within their existing role.

It makes sense to me and I doubt they would be considering it sucking eggs, or taking it as him making out Jags is a better defender, he's just using Jagielka as a good example of what Moyes wants them to do.

The rest of that interview is a bigger story for me, sounds like Moyes was constantly battling players, playing them incorrectly, failing to massage the ego's, failing to raise lost confidence after their first games.
