Moyes to Sunderland

Rodwell and Gibson will develop a great midfield partnership once they have a good run of games without injuries.

Have been told tonight that Jack Rodwell has never played in a winning Sunderland team

37 games, £6.8M in wages in that time, not a single win.

Surely that s got to be some sort of record?

I wonder if it's occurred to Moyes that all he has to do to stave of relegation, is not play Rodwell?

Didn't bale do a similar run at Tottenham?

Agreed Oviedo would be the one to buy if you were trying to improve the squad, he is the right age, good attacking full back. But the rest i'm not so sure about Lescott went down with Villa and didn't seem too bothered, Pienaar was past it the 2nd time we bought him, Gibson I think is just collecting the money having seen his career slide from man utd to Sunderland and Victor is nothing more than a back up option. It's fair to say if we put out a team containing those players we wouldn't be happy, I don't think Sunderland supporters will be either.
Gibson is a cockroach, but could be key to keeping them up - wouldn't surprise me to see him temporarily getting of his aris and putting in a solid ten games in the middle of the park.
Victor was having a great run of games a while back - there's a player in there somewhere!

I honestly can't remember Gibson having a bad match for us.

Think we've drew half of these games and we've won games he's been involved in it's games he's started we haven't won. TBH he hasn't been as bad as usual lately. He had a decent game last night and took one for the team with a challenge on Dembele which some clueless melts were saying should've been a red card

Loved Rodwell's tackle last night, that's how you stop a counter attack!

I think Gibson could be a key signing, if he stays fit. Passing the ball forward with accuracy makes a massive difference to any team, especially a team that are struggling to get up the pitch

I think I had that Pro Set card in your profile!

Was assuming you'd draw. Quite a few of those as Rodwell isn't that bad :-)
Was just surprised by the number of games (39 now), I imagine most players would count themselves very unlucky to have a win drought half or even a third that long.

I thought it was games he's started for them. He's had to have played in a win at some point.
