If 3 or 4 of them can produce half what they did for Everton then they have a small chance, which is a gaping chasm better than he has without them. After all, they just need to get enough points to stay up for now.If this comes off, all that Baines business is forgotten and he becomes a legend. I see this as he felt guilty that he didn't sign a new contract before utd got him on the cheap. By buying Gibson and Oviedo that's just giving us what we should have had in compo.
Not sure how he thinks assembling the old Everton team that never really hit any heights is going to save Sunderland when they are all many years older now though...
Jags to be announced next..Fellaini, Oviedo, Gibson. £35m combined.
Moist is still working for BK.
Then Lukaku.... that would change the mood a littleJags to be announced next..
Utter scenes.

I think Oviedo is the only signing of note so far though.
He inherited a mess, but he's not really doing much by way of cleaning it up currently, but I still think he will keep them up.
Agreed, he has had to buy terrible players, who else would go there tbf?Agreed Oviedo would be the one to buy if you were trying to improve the squad, he is the right age, good attacking full back. But the rest i'm not so sure about Lescott went down with Villa and didn't seem too bothered, Pienaar was past it the 2nd time we bought him, Gibson I think is just collecting the money having seen his career slide from man utd to Sunderland and Victor is nothing more than a back up option. It's fair to say if we put out a team containing those players we wouldn't be happy, I don't think Sunderland supporters will be either.
