MSP Sports Capital have moved on

Would like this deal MSP have ties to four other football clubs: FC Augsburg, AD Alorcon, GD Estoril and SK Beveren. What i found from link online that would help us to able create a network to send players out and get game time. You would also like to hope that they would view us as the big club they have wanted to get shares into. Get more comercial deals and money into the club. Still risks with any person coming in as we have found with moshiri i just have to hope we can finally get it right

For me it’s that none of these sides are necessarily bad sides either, aside from maybe Alcorcon, who currently reside in the 3rd tier.

They know the sport, they know high profile situations in sport and they know how to be successful.

I have been against all Americans linked to Everton, but not against these guys.

All they care for is profit on their shares.

Say goodbye to investment in players/stadia if we get taken over by Americans.

At a time where clubs owned by tight wad Yanks/Brits are selling up to Gulf state royals throwing money around its more important than ever before to have owners with not just business expertise but a love of the sport and desire to compete.

Less spreadsheets more trophies please.

Your type of running the club would be as disastrous as Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale running of the club

We need professionals on the board

More spreadsheets and less pursuing personal interests like Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale have for years. At our expense

Would you class Newcastle/City/PSGs owners as being professional?

I look at the Glazers, Kroenke, Lerner, Short, Harris et al and none of em are good owners who were/are loved by the fans.

Yes we need businessmen but we also need someone who wants to spend money and build us into a top team.

Anyone thinking a Yank group with the name "capital" in the firm are going to spend there own cash on us are naive.

They were only just linked with a leveraged buyout of Spurs lol

Definitely would be better to just have Moshiri, hes done a great job.

Seems they own or have invested in Genoa, Sevilla, Belgrade and Standard Liege.
I don't like that list of clubs. All fine clubs with history, but there's a whiff of second level about all of them. Of course, we're second rate too, and perhaps second division the way things are going, but if we are going to be pawned off to carpetbaggers, let them at least have plans that allow us to dream, rather than become part of a stable of jobbers for the big boys.

I'd class their boards as being professional yes.

You switched from what I said: board, to: owners

Trying to argue rather than answer

You have no clue on MSP. They're purchasing a minority stake. Like they have in other professional outfits in many sports.

Professionalism is something that has been sadly lacking with Bill Kenwright and Denise Barrett-Baxendale

MSP objective is to buy in cheap on under performing assets. When the share price is low

Then boost the performance and increase the value of their asset. Through performance

The list of clubs they are involved in is what it is for a reason.

They're also involved with many stella companies. McLaren F1 being but one

Weren't Genoa relegated recently? And Sevilla are no longer the force they were. No idea if that coincides with MSP being on board

MSP Capital is

FC Augsburg - German Bundesliga
Estoril Praia - Portuguese Primeira Liga
SK Beveren - Belgian Pro League
Alcorcon CF - Spanish RFEF (3rd tier), possibly linked to Najafi’s ties to Robert Sarver, who purchased Mallorca when they were in a lower division.

They’re also major backers of the X Games and McLaren racing, so they’ve got some pull for sure.

After near 30 years of ownership under Peter Johnson, Bill Kenwright & Farhad Moshiri (who's heart has been in the right place) I would expect Evertonians to be a wee bit more selective over the next custodians of the club whereas the majority seem happy to drop their knickers for the first cowboy that rides into town.

Yet you’re willing to dismiss just how professional and business sound these are so you can get your wet dreams made real about having Qatari or Saudi ownerships

Funnily enough the list referenced is for 777 Partners

Not MSP

We are an underperforming asset, as is the 100% consensus here, so I would expect any firm to have a portfolio like that. I wouldnt want differently. I want the firm that’s trying to pick and grow the next success, not ride on or replicate the last one.

I share the unease of rapacious American venture firms, but it’s hard to have it both ways- ruthless is as ruthless does and we’ve seen the limits of sentiment. Of course we would love someone with the money to spend, the business sense, and an appreciation for the club and the culture, but the overlap of that Venn diagram has got to be tiny if it exists at all. Unless you’re PSG, City and now Newcastle, with unlimited capital, I’m afraid you’re either underfunded, or indebted, or owned by someone that doesn’t give a crap about football and football culture, or some combination thereof.
