True, but I'm sure Andy Bell is a bit nervy.

Supposedly his 40m was just a short term brodging loan that gets paid back as soon as MSP come on board.

I think he has a claim on certain things. The MSP funds are a lot more nervy.

Youd hope Moshiri will insist on any funds as part of the deal pay off Bell/MSP. But he has no obligation too, and they could remain as debt on the club.

It's why I kind of hope a deal can be done with both parties. MSP can provide some expertise, stadium funding and personnel on the board, while 777 take up remaining positions and deal with the day to day of running the club.

It would require some dilution of their stake, but they would be working with a competent minority shareholder. I'd imagine theres a lot of overlap in thoughts.

In lay terms, it may mean that they convert them 50m into a minority stake, maybe MSP front some more, ah la what they did with Moshiri which gets converted to a 35% stake for another £100m which can go towards the next traunch if the stadium. It maybe the remainder of the stadium gets paid off, in exchange for debt that converts to equity upon opening for a 50/50 stake.

777 lose out on 50% upside, but also dont have the liability of having to find a funder for the stadium, and the club will be worth a lot more if it has a 1bn asset on its books, with minimal outstanding liability.

You grown fond of us being crap?

Mad that people would turn down a gulf state buyout - imagine being as poorly run as Man City or Newcastle lol

Way I see it is if you tune into the PL every weekend / watched the Qatar World Cup you're just as complicit in the sportswashing as any Man City, PSG or Newcastle supporter.

You look at our wonderful BMD ground - that should be a ground hosting CL ties not relegation 6 pointers.

I wouldn't, would just sit back and enjoy the footy and an Everton free of Kenwright and co

777 are complete crooks. We should not want them anywhere near us.

They are likely to be stripped of their ownership of a British Basketball League team. They are currently being sued in London by the ex-owner of Hertha for non-payment for his shares. They recently failed to complete another deal in Europe because they could not come up with the cash. They have links to mafia/drug cartel financing of payday style loans. One of their founders has several historic court orders against him for non-payment of debts and historic drug offences.

You can look at a Euro journalist called Phillipe Auclair on Twitter who has been digging into them or his website:

Rereading this - we're in proper trouble if these guys end up involved with the club.

"777 wanted to buy #efc - but fraud, kidnapping, extortion, predatory lending & racketeering are just some of the things their companies are accused of in US court papers, & their founder has a drug trafficking conviction"
