I like players in this mould. They shouldn't be penalised for a bit of aggression. But we dont want an indisciplined player who leave us one man down or get's loads of suspensions. Players like him will get away with it if they play for a club like Arsenal or United. With us he'll get no respite from refs. Hopefully its just the nature of the Hungarian league that made him that card magnet last season.

Now I can see why he came to the Premier League. :P Generally the PL is regarded as the league that's most lenient to hard tackling.

he transfer of Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko to Manchester City has been delayed due to work permit issues. According to a report by Manchester Evening News, the transfer of Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko to Premier League side Manchester City has been delayed due to work permit problems.

The Citizens were initially hopeful that 24-year-old Dzeko could make his official City debut in the FA Cup match against Leicester City at the weekend, but this now appears unlikely due to red tape.

Dzeko travelled to England on Wednesday to undergo a medical and the transfer was expected to be officially announced on Thursday, but work permit issues have apparently frustrated the move.

Manchester City are now hopeful they'll be able to announce the capture of Dzeko on Monday, but reports from Italy suggest that the paper logjam could even lead to the collapse of the deal this winter.

Calcionews24 claims that it takes 28 days to complete the procedure to obtain a work permit, meaning that the Bosnia-Herzegovina international won't get the necessary paperwork done in time before the closure of the January transfer window.

It's not yet certain whether the deal is indeed in danger following the latest work permit issues, but City are clearly eager to solve the situation sooner rather than later.

The common factor here is a non-league game against Leicester City. If he doesn't sign now, it's clearly Chang's fault.

I'm not so convinced about him so far to be honest. All I see in him is a mad butcher, not much more, but I hope I'll be persuaded by his game. He's just 21 so he has the world in front of him.

Lol, either not watched anything at all, or just don't understand footy.

"Mad butcher"..... LOL.

13 yellows and 2 reds last year to prove it.

Hopefully he learns to walk that fine line. For me that was one of McCarthy's strengths...pulling off the risky tackle and avoiding cards. His timing was impeccable on those challenges.

Yeah, his approach was more sensible. Besic... I don't know, I hope he'll do well, but I'm yet to be convinced. He just makes far too many unnecessary tackles to my mind.
