....was it a broken leg, seem to recall his ankle was knackered. Great shame, tremendous player. I remember watching him come back in a Lancashire League game at Belfield. I think McCarthy is more Bracewell than Besic but the fact all 3 are compared is an accolade in itself.

Is it only 2 yellows before you get banned in Europe? I thought it was 3 but I might be wrong like.
Seems a bit harsh that you can face the same length of ban for picking up 2 yellows in one game as you can for picking up 2 yellows in all the group games

At the group stages a player is suspended after 3 yellows so he is not banned yet. But after the 3rd yellow comes the 2 yellow rule, so every player is suspended after the 5th, 7th, etc. Page 34.

Dunno what will be better: playing him against Krasnodar with youngsters which means more responsibility and surely a yellow
or give him a break. If Macca and Barry can't make this Sunday then I think he won't play the Krasno game, those will need playtime who revocer from injuries.
