LOL @ those Besic haters. Yeah, he is still not top CDM in league and can't be compared to some other Everton legends, but that guy has just everything to become one. Besic lacks the quality and creativity to partner McCarthy. I do hope he makes some progress in that regard.

I agree that creativity hasn't yet shown in his game, but he is a competent passer of the ball and brings more energy than Barry. A Gibson/McCarthy combo is optimal, but I believe that Besic should deputise for McCarthy in cup games to give him some rest.

I have a lot of love for the Gibson McCarthy axis. And maybe Besic can pick up some of the skills of both, he certainly looks like he is capable of developing a more forward orientated game.
