They also use saints as well, and once they are finished the list of names that are used they total more than one.........

Nothing wrong with naming a kid in regards to your religion. Im not muslim so i dont get why they do that and no-one else does (away from their god) but then its up to them and it must be important to them so fair enough.
 
Hopefully in a few years people will find the courage to name their kids after Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris as well.

Well we should all be very greatful that muhammad (and various variations) is only the second most popular boys name. In england.
 

Surely time/money spent on what the most popular name in a country is would be better spent elsewhere.

Well, no you couldn't, because to use that analogy would suggest that Christians don't have names. Or hats.

My TA's daughter just called her baby son Anakin.

Muhammad Ibrahim and Mehmet are probably the three most popular names at my school but it has a high proportion of Turks, Kurds, Turkish Cypriots, Somalis and Bengalis. It's not the huge amounts of Muslim names that bother me so much as the White British names. The only Robert in the school is Polish; the only two Andrews are Greek Cypriot and Sri Lankan; the only Richard is Congolese. There are no Stephens, Johns, Davids, Peters, Michaels, Philips or Colins. Those names are a thing of the past.

I have a personal hatred of the name Oliver. Can't understand how it's so popular. I'm mildly irritated by the huge numbers of Jacobs, Joshuas, Alfies and Jacks, too.

It's because Mohammed was a paedophile in the Koran and Niks never met a chance to say something negative about Islam he didn't take.

Apart from the month he was banned where this place became a far more enjoyable place to read without him constantly derailing threads by taking every opportunity to mention it.

Sometimes he's being serious x

Sometimes he's on a wind up.

But its often hard to tell which is which and both are as annoying.
