Call me cynical ,but its just a pure money making exercise - released to coincide with the reissues of the classic 1962-66 and 1967-70 red and blue albums on triple vinyl for the first time.

Ringo must have run out of money.

My personal view …. This isn’t supposed to be a hit in any way, it’s just a song that was long forgotten and now it’s been reworked and released …. The Beatles .. like it or not .. are a seminal part of British music … their importance and standing around the world probably transcends the actual music to be honest…. Like it or don’t like it… it’s just a piece of music

Well it wasn't written for today's hip generation.
It's quite eerie hearing Lennon's voice again.

You can do that every day though.

IMO Lennon's best stuff post Beatles was Walls and Bridges and the Rock'n'Roll album...he had the voice for all the old rocker bangers.

I don't mind it, it's definitely more a Lennon than Beatles song though. Doesn't need to add anything to their legacy which is already substantial, it's just nice to hear another Lennon/McCartney harmony. Still better than anything Tame Impala releases.

I was interested to hear it and it's a new piece of history (as everything is I suppose).

Definitely solo Lennon vibes which was never my favourite but I'm glad it's been released.
