My faith in Moyes restored

At least if you're going to post ill informed, self loathing statements about Moyes then stand by them. He was revelling in everyone having a go at anyone defending Moyes but now he wants to jump ship?

Directed at me??

IF so , I never revelled in anyone defending Moyes, as I have previously stated we all want the same - for the club to succeed. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, the only one I ever had an argument with on these boards are Matt Damon, that does not mean I don't respect his opinion though.

That just means you're a GOT member though mate doesn't it.

My faith in Moyes has never wavered.

And it won't waiver because the man's got more knowledge, honour, dignity and respect for Everton than the ones who've questioned him.

I won't question him disrespectfully either when he finally (and soon) gets the resources he needs at Everton either, because the man's track records all things being equal is second to none.

And we're lucky to have him.

Damon is spot on here lads, We are lucky to have Moyes but you just cant please some people.

I have had restored my faith in Moyes not by yesterdays result, but because of the fact that despite having 3 of his favorites Cahill, Jags and Osman available, Moyes kept with the 11 who had done well against Arsenal.

Also Moyes after the game coming out and saying he really thought he should have done better with the players he had and admitting that he has had problems finding the team that could get results. This speaks volumes about looking inward and knowing your responsability.

It's just one game though. I'll remain sceptical on his tactical abilities til he enjoys a decent run of good decision making.

It was only the other week where he got the subs completely wrong.

I'm not criticising, I'm just saying it's very knee-jerk to support Moyes after one game or have a go at him after one game.

Overall, he's been sub-par for a year or so now but he's capable of improvement.

I wouldn't mind but were still a bit ****, we should have easily beaten Blackpool yesterday but made hard work of it.

The season is likely to end up a huge disappointment and in amongst all the finger pointing Moyes will deserve some of the flack coming his way. He is however one of the main assets we have at the club and someone we need desperately to keep hold of and most importantly, allow him some money to improve the team.

Instead we get a load of melts going lunatic after we get beat or go through a sh*t patch wanting Moyes head on a stake to satisfy their own sense of disappointment and general low self esteem. It also makes the forum a crap place to be.

I fume as much as anyone but perspective lids.

This but i am delighted that we did keep on fighting and show them up in the end.

I do understand where you're coming from and I do agree. My comment was not based on the result, but the fact that three of Moyes' favorites Osman, Cahill and Jags were fit and available for selection, yet Moyes decided to stick with the team that did a good job at Arsenal despite losing. He seems to have lost some of his stubbornness, which is one of the major problems I have with him.

i ll admit i have criticised MOYES and even SAHA in the past but i will give them top marks for

(a) moyes keeping the faith in saha ( even though some may say he didnt have much options)
(b) and saha for repaying this faith by much improved performances over the last few weeks

so credit has to be given where its due but it doesnt alter my overall opinion
