Naismith as a striker

that sunderland defender vergini is one of the worst players i've ever seen in the premier league, brett angell would even tear him apart.

Actually think Naismith will go to the bench for the next game and he will bring in barkley and delefeou for him and osman

Hes all about shaking the team up so the opponent aint got a scooby doo like
Glad I don't have his job. Do you bench Naismith when he's in this run of form? Esp. against the bottom team in the league, where he should thrive? Would that hurt his confidence? Or does he need a rest, and we need Del to get some minutes...

Way too hard for me to figure out.

Its all about making the best use of the squad and getting players hungry to be playing mate, tactically against a team thats gonna likely sit back and try deny us any space having barkley and delefeou/mcgeady who can run at them with pace will probably be preferable early on i guess

Think from what we have seen this season the players understand the reasons for the rotation, and the importance of coming off the bench under the way Martinez plans out the game, think actually rather than damaging confidence it seems to have the reverse effect and have them fired up to do well, very good man managment and motivating actually

My team for the Sunderland game:

Howard
Coleman---?????---Distin---Baines
Barry
McCarthy----Barkley
Lukaku-----Naimsith-----??????

Stones or Jags for the first ????? Not too bothered either way.
Mirallas, Deulofeu or McGeady for the 2nd ??????

And if it isn't working it can easily be switched to:

Howard
Coleman---?????---Distin---Baines
McCarthy---Barry
??????-----Naismith----Barkley
Lukaku

1. Naismith wasn't the "main striker" but was one of three forwards.
2. Lukaku out wide for 80 minutes probably doesn't work against a competent left back and decent midfield.

It was a masterstroke for this particular match and something to keep in his back pocket, but I don't see this changing a whole lot going forward.
