I do yeah.

I actually thought it harsh when he was sent out to Blackpool, but Moyes got that spot on. Coleman came back a much better player for it. Positionally he was more aware than he had been (not hard tbf!) and he was defo a better player linking up with the players around him to manage attacks of opponents and bring the ball away.

Exactly the move that Patterson requires in fact.

We used to overload the right side, he had bundles of energy, led to a good few positive results.

Ossie was the same, the loan move the Derby was the making of him. Young Flash has come back a different player this season to.

See where we are after the summer - id be reluctant to send any full backs away from the club given we have a depth famine on both sides.

You mean he's been instrumental in getting us 6 points against Leeds and Newcastle.

Subtract that 6 points from our total and then go and see where we'd be in the table right now: buried - and for sure facing life in the Championship.

....but let's get him out of the team for a winger who never stays in his own half.

Oh, so we should thank him for the fact we're on the lofty amount of 25 points instead of 19 then?

Who'd have thought your benchmark for a successful player is helping us get 25 points from 27 games.

He's got time on his side to progress.

If we stay up I'd loan out Patterson, get rid of Kenny and bring in a new RB for a reasonable fee who would start season 2022/23 with Coleman deputising. Bring back Patterson if he's progressed as a defender, sell him on if he hasn't.

That convoluted way forward ^^^ is all because a huge bollock was dropped in january when we should have been buying tried and tested and not get all clever trying to sign the next big SPL FB as if he was inevitably as good as Robertson and Tierney. Rangers and the Scottish media massively overhyped that lad and the mugs at Everton fell for their BS.

Yes, you should thank him we're not on 19 points and almost certainly relegated.

Get it?

The club never seemed to twig we were in a relegation battle until after the Norwich defeat - of course that was the week we sold Digne and took an under-cooked Patterson as a development player. Agreed we should have gone for someone experienced given our position, but we were in a poor position with full backs heading into January and worse coming out of it.

Weve been let down by Brands and decisions on Jan - ultimately more bad governance.
