Still waiting for you to explain what a “near mistake” is?

Just seems like you have an agenda against the lad.

Pardon? Are you serious? Not sure how I can explain any better. Like when he scuffs a clearance, it doesn't go as intended but just misses an opponents interception. Or against City he got lucky once when the ball bobbled for Grealish when he'd otherwise passed him. Being lucky is good! But seriously all normal and improves with age.

Fella genuinely thinks I support Rangers for some unknown reason, absolute headcase.

Please desist. I couldn't care less who you support. Your racism and sectarian outbursts are though very hurtful and, for a club like Everton, we should expect better. Cromwell failed. King Billy failed. The Irish have been persecuted enough.

I've only ever said that I think Patterson isn't yet the full Premier League player let alone a wannabe star. I hope it will come with more experience. In the interim I would rather Seamus played at right back. It's an opinion. No need for such unpleasantness.

I'll happily now put you on ignore and suggest you do the same for me. I'll only speak of football as I've always done.

Yeah, I’m serious, you hadn’t explained it at all, let alone explaining it any better. You are here criticising him for mistakes and then using a made up term of “near mistakes” to criticise him further (while pretending to not be “knocking” him).

Near mistakes don’t exist. It’s either a mistake or it’s not a mistake. It’s hardly giving him a fair crack to criticise him for not making mistakes.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Actual tears

Actual tears

Kenwright would be proud of such dramatic flair writing.

What’s your fascination/issue regarding Patterson about? Why focus on a 20 year old rather than any of the other players in the squad?

Of your last 200 posts on this site, you have made 46 in pattersons threads.

Of all of the rest of our current squad, you have made a grand total of 16, with 8 of them in Coleman’s thread.

Some may say you have an agenda against the lad.

Calling out bigotry doesn't count mate.

You've clearly never played or coached a decent level. Of course near mistakes are noteworthy

If a defender keeps missing the intended target of a clearance then it matters.

I'm saying I like the kid and he makes the odd mistake. Like everyone else

Take off that 7/8 posts then, and the 2/3 in the Coleman thread and the numbers are still massively skewed of you having a go that Patterson isn’t even championship level etc

There’s an agenda there.

Weird stalker alert.

Truth is I'm pretty fed up as a fan and generally go to the games so the football itself is dead to me in recent seasons. I'm ever more frustrated at modern players being amazing one second then useless the next. So on here I generally have little interest in what online only fans think of a game they've seen on the TV etc. So I prefer rhe non football threads. An exception is Seamus Coleman a giant of a man and our best player for many a season. I also know his values and what he does for a charity that is close to my heart. He's a true gentleman.

Takes 30 seconds to search someone’s name and look at their posts. Hardly stalking. Helps to prove a point as well when people claim one thing and do the exact opposite such as claiming to like a young player but repeatedly commenting how crap they are while also saying they never say a bad word about them.

Prefer the non football threads, fine, I do the same generally. Your exception isn’t Coleman though. It’s berating Patterson over and over. Whether that’s because he has replaced Coleman, whatever, but it grows tiresome. And if you don’t care, then stop doing it, because like I say, it makes it look very clearly that you have a vendetta against him as you only comment about him and his mistakes and not the rest of the squad.

Mate if ive got to listen to yet another person complain about Oliver Cromwell today then id at least like to bring up how I feel persecuted...

...watching Seamus Coleman play football.

Theres no correlation between charitable donations (tax write offs) and current level of football ability.

Thats clearly showing the majority of people are behind Patterson.

I'm in this thread, I'm Irish, nothing bonkers about what I post on this issue
Patterson is first choice, should be first choice, lacks experience, will get experience by playing and he has Coleman's support in that endeavour.
This isn't Rocket science....older pro passing the baton to younger up and coming pro, there will be moments where we see athletic differences and/or experiential differences, that's it

I'm Irish myself and would like to put it on record I agree with everything you said. I couldn't articulate better than you that's why I waited for a comment like this. ?

Anyways delighted when Patterson signed, seen him at Rangers and liked the lad, if he can reach 80% of Coleman's levels he will have had a great career. He's going to make mistakes but Seamus can come in like he did Saturday and steady the ship.

Well said. Touch of common sense.
