All Patterson could do if he was closer would be clatter into him, give away a pen and likely a red.

Probably because he's doing what he's been asked to do on corners. It's how teams keep players offside. It's when you trust your teammate (Iwobi) to do his job.

Defenders on the back line always need to be aware of their other defenders and make sure they aren't the one playing everyone on.

Myko takes even half a step forward we won that game, that's down to him unfortunately.

Patterson has been one of the few bright sparks for me this season.

10 of our players there v 5 Brentford that its woeful defending all round.

I'd be more concerned that Pickford is following the flight of the ball yet doesn't gather it 3 to 4 yards from his line.
