Didn't look like he fancied himself at all for that chance but maybe was a bit tired getting up there. He defended well considering we had very little in terms of an outlet at times and the ball kept coming back.

What have I got to answer for here?

I stated time and time again he can do stuff going forward but he's ropey in defence...which was underlined AGAIN tonight.

Positionally all at sea when defending. That hasn't changed.

Tell me I'm wrong.
Dave, if that had have been Coleman putting in that performance tonight, all we'd have heard from you would have been 'Captain my Captain', you don't half have double standards. Patterson's display wasn't flawless, but, it was very good, it's about time you wound your neck in on this one mate.

Erm, he was MOTM for his defensive work

You can’t give that up. You’d have to have started to give it up.

The lad missed a sitter but he played ok for the match apart from his usual trademark poor defending.

Is there anything AT ALL contentious in saying that?

I hope he adds to his game because it'll aid Everton. However, I wont be agreeing with OTT analysis about a player who CLEARLY isn't there yet.
