No Dave, you wouldn't. I doubt it would have arisen anyway, Seamus would never have been able to have made that run so late in the game. Go on, admit it, the boy had a very good game as a conventional full back in a 4. Go on, you know you want to, he played very well, just say it, you'll feel so much better.

Think Patterson and Mykolenko are still our weak links in the sense that they are still adapting to the positions bestowed upon them. Youngsters learning there trade but positively looking like they will only get better with time

I stated time and time again he can do stuff going forward but he's ropey in defence...which was underlined AGAIN tonight.

Positionally all at sea when defending. That hasn't changed.

His defending was just like young Coleman tonight. There were times he went forward but one of the midfield three covered him - that was the set up and didn’t make him all at sea, it’s smart full back play. When he was back defending he did great today - far better than I thought he would in a four.

I hope he adds to his game because it'll aid Everton. However, I wont be agreeing with OTT analysis about a player who CLEARLY isn't there yet.

Nathan Patterson made more successful tackles (8/9), made more successful clearances (9/9) and made more headed clearances (6/6) than any other Everton player against Leeds United.
