When you have 10-15 years left of football in you, you're young. Especially when you turn 22 only... a week ago.
I don't care how old he is tbh. I care how good he is. And he isn't.

Please post this in the Ashley Young thread.I don't care how old he is tbh. I care how good he is. And he isn't.
Coleman only started playing RB for us at 24 as he wasn’t deemed good enough to be there before that. Maybe give Patterson some time.22 years of age.
Coleman had a lot more going for him when he stared at Everton. He was doing very well before he went out to Blackpool.Coleman only started playing RB for us at 24 as he wasn’t deemed good enough to be there before that. Maybe give Patterson some time.
I think my memory is going Dave, quite possible at my age, but, I think Seamus had only played about 5 or 6 league games for us before he went to Blackpool.Coleman had a lot more going for him when he stared at Everton. He was doing very well before he went out to Blackpool.
7 games cups and league.I think my memory is going Dave, quite possible at my age, but, I think Seamus had only played about 5 or 6 league games for us before he went to Blackpool.
Yeah I've just checked it , so, 3 premier league starts before Blackpool, hardly enough to judge if he was doing well or not.7 games cups and league.
He was deemed a success when he left for Blackpool. We all knew he'd be back and needed to get experience defending.Yeah I've just checked it , so, 3 premier league starts before Blackpool, hardly enough to judge if he was doing well or not.
You're right Dave there is no such plan for Patterson, this is because he is being asked to be a regular part of the match day squad, not an ideal situation. It would probably be a good idea to get behind him, as he isn't going to get the luxury of a Blackpool loan move.He was deemed a success when he left for Blackpool. We all knew he'd be back and needed to get experience defending.
There's no such plan for Patterson. He's neither proven himself a prospect and neither has he been sent out to get experience.
The two situations are dissimilar.
Literally spent 2 full seasons playing RM for us after coming back from Blackpool as he was far from ready. Even Moyes talked about his defensive frailties back then.He was deemed a success when he left for Blackpool. We all knew he'd be back and needed to get experience defending.

I doubt even with Young out Patterson gets a start at West Ham...he's that bad.
I'd have Jack Harrison playing the role he did at Leeds many times all day over Patterson bollocksing our defence up...and I reckon Dyche will think that too.
