Nathan Patterson played well against Spurs today but we really need someone attacking the crosses he puts in.

I suspect the problem on this thread is that there's the agenda posters and then there's the people attempting to compare 22 year old Patterson against peak Coleman

When peak Coleman would probably cost around 50 million in todays market

Committed more fouls today than the rest of the defence put together. It was obvious what Spurs game was, they were trying to buy fouls every time they got the ball and I felt Patterson was quite naive in the way he obliged.

Think he can make it as a class player for us but at the mo he is hit and miss. Does very good things but is also prone to rashness. He is a slow burner

Slow burner because he hasn’t had enough senior minutes, more game time he will get better at the expense of mistakes I’d prefer we had another RB so Patterson could go out on loan with less pressure and expectations on him and more game time but we aren’t in a position for that and haven’t been since he got here. I’d prefer him over young but seeing him dive into tackles cruyff turns and shielding the ball on the edge of your box are all part of his learning and is why I’d prefer him learning in the championship where I think he’d flourish.

It’s the silly ones in the final third that he does when needless and takes the pressure off them, again all part of his development.

Yes ideally he’d of went out on loan when he first come in but ended up our starting RB for the and then injury didn’t help him. If he’d of had 12/18 months away I think he’d be cemented as our starting RB Next season.
