2024/25 Nathan Patterson

Think with Thelwell arriving a straight swap deal is on the cards between Tav and NPšŸ˜‰, don't know how dave would take that one though!! šŸ˜€

…I was in the players lounge at Ibrox after Rangers won an Old Firm and you could see how much his team mates respected Tavernier, he was clearly their leader on and off the pitch. It was a really good insight but footy is very much in a bubble up there and when you step out you see the standard.

Tavernier is a good professional and a decent footballer who did exactly the right thing moving north of the border, it’s no councidence there hasn’t been a queue to bring him back.

We are well aware of the 'standard' up here btw! It's a constant gripe, that the powers that be don't seem to want to do anything about, seriously believe that the 'potential' new owners of the club are buying into it with the thinking that there will be a move towards a European league of some kind in the future and it will open the door to get Rangers(and Celtic) out of this league and the opportunity to expand the club to another level.

For a player that only cost £200k he has been a superb signing for Rangers, as an 'attacking fullback' his stats for goals and assists(both domestically and in Europe) have been ridiculous, defensively though he has always been suspect, the positives of what he brings to the side as a 'fullback' massively outweigh the negatives it has to be said.

Tav should have been moved on last year tbh but will always be fondly remembered by most Rangers fans when he does leave.

…the irony is Rangers have done reasonably well in Europe, getting to a final in recent years. Also, there is still the possibility of unearthing talent so perhaps we shouldn’t make assumptions about the overall levels.

….given his post-match comments yesterday about ā€˜finding out about players’, I wonder if we’ll see Patterson again next weekend or whether Moyes has now seen enough and will go for the safer option of Young for the remainder of the season.

Team selection next week will again be informative.
Well he's "found out" that Doucoure can't play football but still picks him so who knows?

Think he at least needs to give him a run of games and decide one way or the other at the end of the season, there are others who have been continuously rank and are regularly given the opportunity to establish themselves within the team.

Patterson should at least be given the few remaining games to determine what happens regarding his future?

I would play Garner at right back, he's very good there. Young can't play a whole game, he's done at this level now.

We have mishandled him the amount of times Dyche dropped him after a good game he has never had a run alongside the injuries he has never developed. But not sure he is up to this level anyway. He still should get the next few games just to see probably would sell at the right price

id still play him against ipswich

he had a stinker but neto and madueke both have a good bit of quality about them

id possibly even try him at right wing with young or garner behind him
