2024/25 Nathan Patterson

I’d still like to see what he can do with an extended run in the first team. If he looks poor or can’t manage it due to injuries then it’s definitely time to try and sell next summer.

I simply do not believe that he will be worse than Coleman or Young given their opportunities. I don’t Dyche will give him a chance though, he really seems to have taken against Patterson.

The way the other two have done so far, it really can’t be any worse
If Patterson is the answer then we're really asking the wrong question.

Lacks just about every attribute you need in a PL full back: positional sense, urgency, focus, stamina to get up and down the pitch.

Only saving grace is that he can swing a cross into the box with accuracy ......one time in every 4 games or so.

We know we know, a new RB is needed but that ain’t happening for at least 4 months.

The other two have shown they aren’t up to it now. Dyche won’t pick Dixon as he has zero PL experience.

The form can’t be any worse. So let’s play the player who actually has the potential to improve. And who has now been working with the so called great defensive manager for 2 years.

He doesn't have any room to grow.its just not in him. The only reason he's been mentioned again is because we've conceded 10 in three games.

I think Dixon will get his chance and take it.

If Dixon does, then great. But the jury is definitely out on him and let’s not act as if we know loads about his ceiling etc based off a game vs Doncaster.

I don’t agree Patterson doesn’t have room to develop. But that’s just opinions innit.

yet he still cannot be any worse than young and coleman

if fit, he SHOULD be our no1 right back, with Dixon back up.

Sounds like he's got one more thing going for him than Coleman at the moment then, seeing as Seamus is all of that second paragraph too.

One thing is for sure Dave, we can't add to the squad for nearly 5 months, so, it has to be Patterson, Garner or Dixon. Because Coleman or Young will relegate us. They've both been good players, but, in 2024, they should only be used in cameo substitute roles when we are trying to see a game out.

Heard today he was disciplined by the club for returning heavily overweight and he's on a personal training plan to get him back to the level he needs to be at. Fingers crossed he takes it on board cos he's at risk of throwing his career away while we're desperate for a competent right back.
