2024/25 Nathan Patterson

Second game now he's looked at least like getting forward, give him a go ffs
Yep. A longer run may calm him down a bit. His great burst forward and wild shot saw Young telling him to chill, had better options.

Whether he ultimately turns out to be crap or not, he’s bound to be over eager to show something, whether it’s to impress us, or other clubs. But a few games and he might just start learning some composure.

With Myko, JB and Tarks underperforming, and Illy spending as much time in our box as the oppositions helping out, I don’t see it as a huge risk. Not like we’d be disrupting a well oiled machine by giving him a run.

No Nigel. Pattos was worse today than the others.
You obviously didn't watch the match if you think Patterson was any worse than the rest of the players.
The only real mistake he made was the shocking throw in . But that's just life.
If you watch the goal the team needs to learn to defend from the front. This boils down to Dyche not coaching the team to even do the basics.

….to be fair, it took some doing to put that shot from the edge of the box into the English Channel;

The moment we lost yesterday.

Any halfways decent FB stands off this hoofed ball forward. Patterson is the fool who rushes in where angels fear to tread...

Zero positional awareness. It's the reason why no manager has ever trusted him enough to make him a starter...and never will.

This man should not end up scoring from here, Dave.

Pointless answering mate, their goal was a catalogue of errors from us. Patterson too easily beaten, Mykolenko giving their player all the time in the World to pick his spot and Branthwaite ducking under it, whether that was him thinking it was going wide we will never know. This is my last post in this thread, for me it's never been about football, it's sadly gone beyond that.

It's called zonal marking Dave, that's what Dyche employs, our full backs always tuck in. Patterson had a poor game but you'll see us concede a lot of goals like this.
