Obviously the Bulls were top. The Pistons were great in the early 90s. The Jazz were great. The Rockets were obviously very good mid-90s. The Blazers were very good. The Spurs were great to end the decade. A few other teams had flashes. (Should we include Reggie Miller's Pacers... ?). The Knicks were very good but I don't remember them as a team anyone expected to win. Maybe my memory is bad.

The Sonics won a lot of games too...

The Rockets are not the same without Ariza and a broken Chris Paul. His PER, WS, percentage is pretty down compared to the norm. Ariza made them a very solid defensive unit. They actually could have and should have taken GS last season despite being the lesser team.

Rockets-Knicks final was a pretty even matchup, went 7 games. There was a bevy of teams in the 90s that challenged the bulls (Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, NY, Indiana, Utah) to no success. The Knicks were somewhere in that group.

Yeah, they were consistently good. I just wouldn’t have said they were the #2 team in the 90s. Based on aggregate wins, I’d say that’s probably the Jazz. (Even though I count regular season for very little.)

Once Klay buckled his knee it was written in stone. This can only be good for the NBA. The Raptors deserved it

They deserved it by beating a team without their two top players? I don't like Golden State, I'm a Lakers fan. But I was disappointed to not see it finish out with atleast Klay because it was a good game. Kawhi is amazing. But beating them without Klay is rather boring.

Of course they deserved it. Golden State won a title or two with a bit of luck as well. Toronto was the better team throughout the series. Golden State couldn’t match their intensity on defense

Every year in the playoffs there is an injury to a key player or 2. They took 3 of 4 w/ Klay in and won all 3 on the road. They had a really tough playoff run. The Bucks were more talented are arguably the best team in the league. I think Philly could have beaten everyone but GS in the west.

For me it's a Championship with a couple of giant asterisks. Well done, but ya got very lucky.

It's a shame that Kawhi is allowed to use his off arm to illegally gain separation when he wants to.
