I don't know man, there was a college game last night where the final was 104-100 but they played 4 OTs to get there. I just personally can't do the constant brick fests that most college games are nowadays.Personally think the NBA product is pretty awful, especially compared to the college game. The post above is an example of why. Then you deal with tanking, blatant rules being disregarded, and the over the top catering to star players.
All that to say, rooting for the Jazz and Suns. Chris Paul deserves a ring, and the Jazz are just fun to watch. Donovan Mitchell is incredible and doesn’t get enough credit.
I’d like to see the NBA try 40 minute games rather than the full 48.I don't know man, there was a college game last night where the final was 104-100 but they played 4 OTs to get there. I just personally can't do the constant brick fests that most college games are nowadays.
I'm not saying the system in the NBA is working, they really have to get some of the stuff with players demanding trades under control, but night to night it is way easier for me to watch a game.
Well Nebraska vs. NC State is hardly showcase worthy, but even so I enjoyed it because the players cared so much. NBA players just half ass it all the time. Did you watch Gonzaga Duke by chance? Excellent spectacle with a ton of talent out there.I don't know man, there was a college game last night where the final was 104-100 but they played 4 OTs to get there. I did, it was good, but I don't think it can be a better product if only the 4 or 5 best teams are watchable.Well Nebraska vs. NC State is hardly showcase worthy, but even so I enjoyed it because the players cared so much. D1 college is still very high level across the board. One of the best games I watched this year involved Belmont. We’ll just disagree on what “watchable” entails I guess.I did, it was good, but I don't think it can be a better product if only the 4 or 5 best teams are watchable.
The part about the players not caring in the NBA is a bit of a myth for me. It's just a long season and you have to manage to get through it. No one would accuse hockey players of not caring yet it is remarkably similar how they go up a level in the playoffs.
They've sort of done both of those things though...D1 college is still very high level across the board. One of the best games I watched this year involved Belmont. We’ll just disagree on what “watchable” entails I guess.
By next month, at least a quarter of the teams in the NBA will just shut it down and try and improve their lottery odds. It’s a joke when the games become so meaninglessness.
IMO the NBA should allow more physicality to stop all the whining and actually give defenders a chance. Additionally, cut the lottery odds system. Every team that misses the playoff is should get the same chance at the #1 pick. You do that, there’s no value for teams to tank halfway through the season.
They’ve taken a step by stopping the BS foul calls then the shooters initiate contact and then just throw the ball up. Haven’t seen much else change. They've sort of done both of those things though...
They really should just get rid of the draft.
