Hes settling in , young foreign lad in a new league ... oh wait sorry
While it's easy to disregard what he's said, he has come here and for a multitude of reasons has been thrown into a position and style he's unfamiliar with.

He isn't Dom and shouldn't be expected to play like he is, however if that's the case (we don't adapt) it will take time to settle in. He ain't a target man!

I actually think he improved in his last couple of games. His hold up play did for certain. I think a few moments of bad luck/miscommunication with teammates didn't help. For example Onana intelligently cutting the ball back for him to drift on to but instead he made a run to create space for Grey to get the ball. Although that could have also been by design as his runs occupying defenders are a massive strength for him.

Hopefully this break will have eased his mind of the realisation of what he has walked in to, and the massive burden that he now carries on his shoulders.
Maybe, just maybe the lad can now start finding his feet in this club.
As much as we need to adapt our system to suit his strengths, he also needs to adapt his game to suit our club.

We can't be stuck with a 'lost puppy' up front for the rest of this season or were headed one way....

Hes not unfamiliar playing upfront. He's just not very good never has been .

Doms better but we need to set the bar much higher. There's others out there lol

This post reeks of desperation.

….we are talking a low bar here so terms like ‘much better’ don’t apply. I‘m not a fan of Maupay but he’s less worst than Rondon.
Rondon hold up play is decent.

Our attack breaks down 9 out of 10 when the ball ricochets off maupay’s horrible touch. The worst control of the ball in the entire squad.
