You have a point with playing him as a lone striker and confidence but he was also pretty poor at Brentford last year too. From what I’ve seen he’s lost any pace he had and isn’t strong enough now in the premier league where it’s common to be 6ft, fast and strong.

Physically he just doesn’t look up to it so may do better in France (although that is also a physical league)
