Needless Pub shooting, pain and anguish caused

It’s evil any day of the year but on Christmas Eve is just an extra layer of callousness. Can’t even begin to imagine the pain that’s caused for so many waking up today. Too many guns, too many knobheads.

It’s not Liverpool it’s the Wirral, but that’s superfluous in such an awful story to read.
The Wirral is now Merseyside, not Cheshire - thats how they make the vague connection - Bolton is Manchester etc ...... still a sad loss of life though .....

It hasn't been part of Cheshire since 1974, thanks to Ted the Teeth, so near as dammit half a century.
Yes I know, but when I went to horticultural college for my NEBBS supervisory exam the people from the Wirral were fuming over the boundary change even in 1982 - they preferred it to be Cheshire again ..... I then lived in Northwich - which was Cheshire with a scouse accent ..... a shooting on Christmas Eve is awful, but it was not in Liverpool .....

I was a kid when the boundaries changed and they created the new county of Merseyside.
Everyone from outside the area associates Merseyside as just Liverpool so that's where the confusion comes from.

Was always a decent boozer with decent clientele .
Such a sh*try thing for folk to wake up to on Christmas day, hope they get the lowlife ASAP.
A lot of the local community facebook groups and all talking aobut it, traumatised people who witnessed it, also a lot of families had meals over the next two days booked there, so quiet a few are foodless right now
