What sort of nobhead shoots someone having a pint?

Without referencing the specific events yesterday, a common issue you may get (not just here in Liverpool) is people drinking, arguing and events spiralling.

Whereas in the past, people would have a scrap or a straightener over an incident, it's now sadly far too common for people to fall back on using weapons.

If an attack is premeditated over a period of time, shooting at someone at a distance from a cark park in a busy pub, with numerous witnesses, ain't sensible.

Such actions wreak more of an act of spontaneous anger or retribution.

Stabbings are often spontaneous, as people carry knives around.

Most shootings (in the UK) will be premeditated to some degree, as it’s rare for those with access to a firearm to carry it around. At a guess the shooter will have had a tip off that someone is at the location, and will have had to get the gun or have it dropped to them. They were obviously an idiot for opening fire on a group outside a pub, but I’d guess it wasn’t that spontaneous.

Ah, it's not just Liverpool. Some poor family round the corner from me had their house shot at earlier this year. Police seem to think its mistaken identity. Some nut on a motorbike doing a drive by apparently.

Imagine that, you're sat at home and someone shoots at your house. Fortunately no one was injured.

Makes it sound like the Bronx, doesn't it? But it really isn't. Wrong uns, everywhere, ruining it for everyone else.

I would be shocked if the police didn't know who did it within a hour of it happening, but they will want the weapon and proper evidence.
Hopefully in the fallout the recieve tip offs on other stuff

By spontaneous, I mean it may not have been an attack planned long in advanced with meticulous planning. The catalyst may have been that night.

You’re right about having to retrieve the firearm, and the assailant may not have been the person who ordered/desired the attack or was aggrieved.

My point was that the nature of the shooting suggests it may be a response to a recent incident, although potentially part of a larger feud, rather than a planned hit.
