I'm hoping this spawns some great stories but I'll kick it off with a big one for me since I've been WFH the last few years: taking in parcels for neighbours.

Should you do it? Do you do it? Do you lie and say you can't take them as you're going on holiday that night (used that few times), are their certain neighbours' parcels you refuse to take?

Currently I am sat with 3 parcels from 3 separate houses in my porch. I am not leaving my house, they can come to me to collect, don't care if I have them for days.

Haha was this thread typed out in Bold Street

I have no issue taking in parcels....as long as the neighbours are nice. I refused to have anything to do with a previous next door neighbour who poisoned at least two of our cats, called the police on two five year olds throwing snowballs in the street in case they damaged their car and emptied their grass cuttings on our front lawn. On thexday we moved in he knocked on the door, not to say hello but to point out the boundary lline between the two properties. They were crazy. Nobody in the road liked them. I just told the delivery people I didn't talk to them. By the reaction I don't think I was the first to say that.

We haven't had a garage door for months and the rubble on our front garden (from digging in the back garden) has been there so long, weeds are growing on it

They know there's always at least one of us working from home so I see the drivers literally crossing the road to come straight to us if they get no answer. Does my absolute head in the doors are often the other end of the road. "Can you take this for number 144 Mug Lane in Liberia please mate?" "Yeah ok go on"

Last week, I was walking back to my house from getting dropped off after work, saw the delivery man struggling to find a house to take in this parcel.

My first thought was "this nob is gonna see me go in my house and immediately try give it to me".

So I went and walked around the block 3 times till he'd gone lol
