Net spend.

But he has spent £500m on players since he arrived that's why it's used??? Not sure why you're struggling so much here. I stuck a graph up before showing it. No one says our net spend is £500m.

No idea why you keep adding in debts and shares and everything else. Net spend has nothing to do with that it's purely player trading.

This is where the conflation between Moshiri's investment, club expenditure and other costs begin. It's not true to say Moshiri has spent 500 million on players. Everton may have done, and the money used to facilitate that expenditure will have come from player trading, TV money and some investment from Moshiri. So it's not just from player trading, the net spend involves expenditure from several different sources of money. If you argue Moshiri has spent 500 million on players, then Bill Kenwright must have spent 100's of million on players as well, but he never has.

These discussions often turn to how much money Moshiri has spent on the club, which is probably fair enough. But I don't think you should include his acquisition costs when doing so. Others disagree and make reference to them when discussing Moshiri's investment.

We also havent had much luck. yes recruitment has been poor but you cant account for the big injuries some of our big money signings have had.

Bolasie- was doing well until his bad injury. No one would buy him after that.

Tosun- Bad injury, probably wasnt good enough but we could have probably sold him for some actual cash if it wasnt for that.

Gbamin- Was meant to be a bit of a coup that we got him, injured and never been able to play in a run of games.

Delph- No one could have predicted how bad a signing he would be. Always injured.

Add in Sigurdsson who would have possibly been sold or contract renewed to enable a fee it shows what bad luck we have actually had.

Hmm maybe bad luck alright mate, still I don’t know if I’d be investing the mone6 we did in all of those players, fair argument with the luck - that we overpaid on fees and also wages - I’m actually afraid to clock up the fees and wages.

What will we get return, maybe a fee for Gbamin. This is actually the problem think of the fees, think of the wages and think of what return are we going to get on any of them.

Was just saying this to someone yesterday, also when we sign a player for say £20m + 15m in add ons it is always the higher amount used. Yesterday the BBC had a story on their website saying Everton sign alli for £40m. Yet put up Liverpool signed Diaz for £37.5m.
