I think he would of been amazing manager, he has high standards and thinks big.
He has high standards but little tact. Mind you. it would have been interesting seeing him run the team with his no-nonsense 'say it as it is' attitude.

Rightly or wrongly, I think his quite straight-forward, abrasive style wouldn't probably go down well with many of the modern footballers. A few come to mind...He has high standards but little tact. He is.
While I'm not directing this at you personally, I think that in itself (only seen in that regard) is a point which does him and his deeds undue respect.by the fans, unfortunately not the club.
He’s one of the greatest goalkeepers ever, the club don’t respect this one bit and it’s utterly shambolic
The club only wants ex players who will say what the club wants them to say, so they get players who toe the line and have nice cushy jobs in return.Top bloke, the club have turned its back on him.
For those of us who watched him, like me and you, he certainly is.
For the younger generation however, I'm not as confident that he's viewed as well as he should, but I do feel that is partly the club's doing.
I've never thought the club have promoted him as 'one of the greatest of all time'. In discussion he should be right in the mix in that category but the club have never seemed to present him in that way.by the fans, unfortunately not the club.

Although, some of it may be due to his modesty and reluctance to promote himself.

He definitely managed Hastings and Molesey. He jointly managed Wales for a couple of games and I think he had a stint in the lower leagues (Dover/hastings? iirc). They did not go well. I don't think he is suited to management as he was too abrasive to deal with the people in charge, but as a goalkeeper coach he would have been excellent.
THE best player from the 80's, we had, no question
