Think position rather than individuals and you more or less find he’s way out on his own.
Well top scorer would mean Dean then. Or dont I understand?

It's not hyperbole to say he was one of the best keepers in the world during his prime - if not the best. It was a pleasure to watch him play week in, week out.The best keeper I've ever seen live.
World class.
As you say many wouldn’t have seen Dean. Think about our greatest team. Don’t forget we’ve had a few good forwards and midfielders so people have a lot of choice but some positions have less competition.Well top scorer would mean Dean then. Or dont I understand?

It was Tricky - Trevor Steven. My favourite player of that team. He could score, could cross, could defend. He could do the lot. Hard to find a wide man who could actually play all three disciplines.
Wilson was in by a few people but he was a fullback, not Trev’s position. No arguments there. Just amazed that some older fans didnt plump for Wilson. I never saw him play, so would have gone for Tricky as well mind.
I was excited by Cottee thought he was the next Lineker. Great hat-trick on his debut,We ended up buying the likes of Wilson, McCall, Nevin last two did ok for us. But we really should have pushed the boat out. It’s lije the board thought the mid 80’s team would go on forever.

Out of interest, who was the worst? Ball? Rooney?
