I think all things considered and given the new stadium which would never have happened without him, Farhad should be made Honorary Life Chairman.
Least he deserves imo.

We're a business not a charity

That is what the law says as well. Charities are under the law in The Charities Act 2011, are supposed to be ran "independently".

Companies are ran as companies for the benefit of shareholders and other stakeholders. Per The Companies Act 2006 and the Club's articles of association.

It's people with this sort of mindset that people need to get away from

"Everton in the Community" is an independent charity for a reason and needs to stay that way and people need to stop confusing the business with that charity!

Businesses in most, are usually charitable though aren't they?

From the local timber supplier sponsoring the local kids football team

To John Lewis donating a huge sum of Christmas profits to children who need it

Coca Cola have a 'Coca Cola foundation'

Its called good/positive publicity.

It will be required as even the likes of City & Newcastle need to do this to help wash away all the negative stuff that they do.

Unless we have Mr Burns as a chairman, its allowed to be 2 separate things.
