We were sold the greatest of lies. Look at that squad. Bolasie. Enner Valencia. We'll be lucky to survive this season. Genuinely more concerned by that this season than last season.

I fear Lukaku will force a move in January off the back of this shambles of a summer. It is a worry he will down tools like last season too after what has happened.

I got battered for tempering expectation not so long back on here.

Oh hello.
Exactly. Some people want us to be like a bloke who inherits big money and immediately blows it on cars, clothes, booze etc in order to impress his pathetic mates. I have faith that the new regime is getting it together, but it won't happen instantly. Now more than ever we have to be careful with money. Surely Niasse is a warning.

Lukaku is gone, Mirallis is gone, Gana is gone Barks is gone...and btw, you left out the 4th option on the Poll...guess what that one should say...

Oh hello.

As I said...Same sh1te, different shovel.

On the face of it, bolly billox has pleaded with moshiri to replace the moribund and utterly useless earl....Who everyone had finally gotten wise to.

The fact that he's a billionaire has pulled the wool over the eyes of some...Along with the sacking of martinez (Which was another no-brainer, but billox has claimed it as another 'masterstroke') and the appointment of koeman, plus another subtle change of tack in the transfer market modus operandi - but this time we end up with a negative net spend??!! (After the sale of stones, which kenwright'd have been lynched for without moshiri's 'presence'.)

Similar tactics, but not quite the same excuses.

...On the face of it.

Disappointing end to the transfer window (assuming there are no late surprises) but let's be honest here, the problem isn't that we aren't willing to spend the money, it's that the calibre of players we think will improve our squad don't want to play for us.

I'm still of the view that Moshiri is pushing us in the right direction. His best signings have been off the field (Koeman and Walsh). If he continues to put into place the foundations for a new stadium, then I'm happy with what he has achieved so far.

This is what Everton confidence levels look like:

There was a great quote in that film 'The best exotic marigold hotel' which went "Everything will be all right in the end... if it's not all right then it's not yet the end.".........

I'm afraid that wont fly mein freund.

Sissoko is not an elite player and neither are the likes of Witsel. They're just not.

I didn't expect millions to be splashed out, but I did expect a little more then current in's and outs.
O well let's see how this plans out onwards and upwards or side ways time will tell.
