You can recognise the team, the brand, worldwide. Its unique to your clube. Remove the name its not a recognisable design.

How somebody needs that explaining to them is beyond me. Beyond that though, the badge represents Everton because it is our global branding logo. It is the first and foremost image which football fans will see in relation to Everton. If you showed most English footie fans the old logo without the 'Everton' on it they would be able to say 'That's Everton's badge'. That in itself means it represents Everton.
