Not really is it? If the club sold them without his blessings or didn’t give him funds to replace then not much he could do about it.
And if that had been the case you might have a point, but as it’s firmly established that it wasn’t, I’m not entirely sure what the point of this conversation is.

A clueless idiot.
A clueless idiot who got Wolves promoted (that part probably less challenging due to the quality of their side) then got immediate back to back 7th place finishes?

For reference it’s 4 years since we finished in the top 7, and 7 years since we did it back to back.

He’s miles off my first choice for the job, but let’s ease off on the hyperbole eh?

The likes of Guardiola, Conte, or even peak SAF couldn't get success with this bunch of players

I'm just fed up with the discussions around managers when no one knows who the right choice is. The only thing I'm interested in is getting players out the door and starting again with a team I can relate to as a supporter. I don't want to watch this team and nothing is being done to move personnel on.

Focussing on managers only lets these players get away with it yet again.
I love this suggestion that we’re all dead happy with the players. Have you ever tried looking at their threads?

Is it worth pointing out that Nuno had a team of entirely his own players at Wolves and produced muck?

Going to be a serious job motivating these players. Hard as it is but after Carlo Ancelotti hailing the first cab away leaving a carlo shaped dust cloud. The lion hearts will be crawling on all fours into games doggy style ready.

If he is appointed though he needs full backing from the fans from day one at Goodison. Otherwise he’s doomed to fail.

My feeling is that there will be - on the part of many fans - a reluctant decision to see what he can achieve. I suspect that things could turn quickly, however.

The worry for me is he only got Wolves to 7th with a better side than what we have in all honesty.

Jimenez is better than DCL

Richarlison is probs level with Jota or slightly better

Iwobi is worse than Traore

Doucoure/Allan/Davies probably slightly below Moutinho/Neves/Dedonker.

I would only say our defence/LB and GK are better.

He's going to have to spend some dough this summer to be going for that 7th placed trophy.
