There are certain people who no manager will please. This was always going to be a step down for us and people need to become more realistic.

Thing is though we’ve been here for years and years now with this level of manager. And I think polls like this reflect how fed up people are more than having a bad feeling towards Nuno. I feel sorry for him for sure. Or anyone who’d come in for that matter. Next season is gonna be brutal.

Galtier was the exciting option. Not sure if it was ever on the cards.

I can see the logic in the Nuno appointment but I'm worried about the style of play particularly after enduring the second half of last season.

I was hoping we'd go with someone with a fast and direct style.

Galtier has a history of building a squad and team and recycling money very well. while using youth.
Nuno come in to wolves spent well over 200 mil while not playing youth and reached a ceiling. He now been fired by Wolves and we want him.

We need to rebuild the squad from top down Nuno is not the man to do it
Galtier beat the most expensive team(I think) to the championship in France.

Gaultier a much better choice

Hard to argue with that.

But, it's a different challenge for Nuno and he will be working with a DOF so the description at Everton will probably be different than at Wolves.

I think even the biggest clubs now realise the importance of developing your own players rather than constantly going to the market
I think that will be a big issue for Nuno and future management

I'm hoping that Brands knows the only way this uninspiring move will work is with some solid moves in the transfer market because with the squad the way it is at the moment , it's going to be a horrific season .
For starters , Nuno is going to need at least a physical full/wing back and a good physical center midfielder . At least .
It's going to cost a pretty penny with these reinforcements and his Roman senate back room staff .

Galtier is not a risk free choice either. In fact no one has any idea how he would do. He's just the attractive choice based on last season and people don't actually know much about him. People have only latched onto that bandwagon because there is a little bit of the unknown and mystery with him. He could be great, I really have no idea, but some of the takes on him have been way over the top

I agree he’s a risk but he also builds teams and squads, he took over (Leeds managers) Lillie team in 18th then took them to 4th then the championship while selling Pepe and several other players.
We taken tried and tested and where are we? Worse then when Moyes left having spent £500 mil and full of overpaid old players. Squad needs a serious overhaul

I think every appointment is a risk. I agree there is an air of mystery about him that's attractive but I don't think that's a bad thing. Maybe that's ts why alot of fans including myself wanted him... We've had the big names and it's not worked. I also don't think the takes on him are over the top, I think his record is very impressive, especially his latest success considering the players he lost and the turmoil Lille are going through.
