People really do forget that Wolves spent way more than anyone in the Championship and absolutely annihilated the Championship transfer record to be promoted don’t they? They also could get players unavailable to anyone else in the league due to their dodgy contacts.

They were literally the Man City of the Championship.

What concerns me though mate is how bad that team performed last season.

45 points.

Going through spells of one shot on target in over 3 hours of football.

Ranked 20th... for chances created, distance covered, sprints... 16th for goals scored.

After spending something like £330m.

He pissed the Championship as favourites after spending a fortune.

He maintained that momentum for a short spell - as many have from the Championship - Sheff Utd like - but he had the money others didn't.

Last season they were so bad - 45 points bad. Getting beat twice by Everton, bad. With that team too... half of them get into our team.

I hope his contract is short.
The game at GP they dominated but did zero with it, was very much two teams that bored each other to death and we took our 1 chance

nuno.webp

Speaks well at least ;)

Only a fool never changes their mind. Happy to admit being wrong, I think a bit more research is needed before dismissing Nuno as Everton manager, the more I read the more I see him as the ideal candidate.
Been shouts for him in the past when one of the other managers have got on their trotters. I'd be worried if I were Wolves fan, looking now to be fair to middling set up.
Can see the logic with "Nuno". It's his chance, hopefully he takes it and gets us going.

Signed Ruben Neves from PORTO when they were in the Championship.

Depends very much on the personnel available to him. But if he gets us winning football matches and progressing thus season I, and many others, won't be overly bothered about style.

I don't think there's a manager in this planet that could get the current squad of slugs playing any entertaining style.
Sure I read somewhere Conti wanted a project, but one look at our squad and maybe a chat with Carlo...
