Fair play to you mate, however there are a few who would take him over Nuno me included.
Rafael is far too divisive a choice. We really don't need this right now when we are already in a really low place. The man hasn't done anything in years either.

I just want to enjoy watching us play again and that won't happen under Benitez.

The man’s an utter dinosaur!!! Did a far worse job than mash potato face Steve Bruce, and didn’t want to sign the only good player Newcastle have had in about 10 years

Said it before but if he was the biggest blue of all time and hated Liverpool I wouldn’t want us to touch him

Moshiri will undo all the positive he’s done with this club if he hires this heffer

And as I have said I do not want him anywhere near the club. I'm not alone in that opinion.
I understand. There are plenty with that opinion.

But I personally had no problem with Peter Reid, Peter Beardsley, Don Hutchison etc.

For me it’s not an issue. I want to see us win by any means and I place that above my distaste of ex RS staff. I am sick of being mediocre an I recognise that there is no quick fix solution. I think that this time we have to appoint someone who will stick around and build a team. Benitez could do that, but so could a few others, but I think they would be riskier appointments from football point of view.

I don't want him here because to me he is a manager whose best work was 10 years ago and isn't one bit progressive.
If klopp decided to take us id have no issue.

He had a negative budget at Newcastle and got them promoted.

For the money, he did amazingly.

Ridiculous. Getting Newcastle promoted from the Championship is not an achievement, they should never have be there in the first place and were able to buy actual current first team Premier League players like Matt Ritchie to get them back up, players that no other Championship club would’ve had a hope of attracting.

See I agree and disagree with you

Agree that I wouldn’t want him here at all and we shouldn’t entertain the idea

Disagree that Bruce is doing a better job due to the fact that conversations I have had with Newcastle fans they absolutely love Benitez and thought he did a brilliant job.

That been said I still don’t want him here at all

Tbf that was Carlo Ancelotti syndrome.

Anyone else think if there is even an ounce of credence to what Talksport and Maddock are saying about Benitez, it is because the club are running it up the flagpole to make Nuno seem more palatable?

Moshiri clearly likes Nuno and there has been huge opposition to his appointment (as I've said before, he REALLY wouldn't be my choice at all, but I am surprised at the level of vitriol toward the appointment), so they are basically telling us: your choice is Benitez or Nuno, so the majority of us will pick Nuno.

If that was the choice, I would 100% pick Nuno every time. We can't let that bell Benitez anywhere near the club, and as I've said in previous posts, my objections literally have nothing to do with his RS connections or his past attitude to us.

However: Galtier, Rangnick, Favre, Gallardo, even Potter for me - come on Everton there are far better choices out there!

This has to be the only plausible reason for the Benitez rumour. Or at least, I hope so!
