To me, this is starting to get absurd. When Brands started working, he often talked about expansive and modern football (imprecise term, I know). He went on to talk about the importance of integrating academy players into the first team, and buying players who were preferably aged 26-20 years. We had to get rid of older and expensive players, and not invest expensively in players who were older than 26 years.

Then one decides to hire a Hollywood coach, and who is as far away from these principles as possible. Ancelotti does not play that type of football, is largely uninterested in academy players, and prefers experienced players. We bring in players like JR, Allan and AD. Which is contrary to the original thinking.

After Ancelotti ran as fast as he could to get away, I thought we might have learned and stuck to the original plan. That is, we had gone for coach types like Rodgers, Potter, etc. It is not certain it would have been a success, but then we can replace the manager with a similar manager with the same philosophy. Then the club gets continuity. Some believe continuity is with the manager, but it is the overall plan of the club that is responsible for this. Just like players, managers can be replaced.

Instead, we are linked to managers like Nuno and Rafael. To me, this club seems to be in serious trouble. It lacks leadership, professionalism and organization. If this club is ever to become a top club again, the cleaning job at the top must be done first.

They we’re pretty much already
Relegated when he took over. They we’re a right mess.

No mate they was 1 point behind Sunderland in 17th

In his games he drew at home to Sunderland and lost to bottom of the league Norwich, ultimately them results cost them premier league safety.

Our owner is a control freakish lunatic with deep pockets and absolutely no footballing acumen. Great for a stadium to be sure but not great for anything on the pitch

And because of his lack of knowledge he hired supposed football club guru Marcel Brands. Brands should walk for not being able to do his job, but it looks like it’s all too cushy for him now so he’ll stay put.

What’s going on then gents?

Nobody in the media have a clue and we’ll it seems nobody at the club does either.
I think I disagree about what you say regarding the club. I think they’ve just learnt their lesson on secrecy. Just because clickbait says there’s an impasse doesn’t mean there is. This happened last time before Carlo was appointed, we knew nothing and then bam. It seems to me they are waiting for the Euros but I’m just guessing too

I mean I’d stay put if I kept getting promotions to the board too!

Is Rodgers that dissimilar to Nuno at the point he was appointed?
