And played utterly atrocious football that ended up finishing a predictable mid-table spot.
All 38 games count the same. We could have spent the entire season in 15th and made a run at the end to 10th. It changes nothing for me.

Because they are winding us up, they would absolutely love it.Why/how would they know that. We don't know and we follow every move the club makes as far as we can.
I might punch bill right in the schnoz if we get Rafael
If anything shouldn't "we had a chance at top 4 but completely choked it away and finished 10th" be a bad thing?
Me too mate. Though some of the performances back end of the season made it much more palatable for me.Anyway, enough about Ancelotti, think I'm still reeling over it a bit to be honest
Utterly depressing all of this Nuno & Benitez talk, though. Deffo, deffo gonna be a case of 'we didn't realise what we had until it was gone'...

Gutted he’s gone, but not sure how much longer I could’ve carried on watching that kind of football, which is one of the reasons I’m so opposed to Nuno. His team were probably the only outfit I watched last season who were somehow more boring than us.
cant disagree on the good month it was a joy for a short time, but our away form and results overall against sides we dont normally fair to well against had overall improved, Martinez, Silva, Allardyce etc had all given us dire football at some point! For me he was. The three previous managers all had one good good enjoyable season. Not Carlo. Crap start to end. He gave us one good month.
Rafael is a big no, I'd prefer a lot of people to Nuno as well.cant disagree on the good month it was a joy for a short time, but our away form and results overall against sides we dont normally fair to well against had overall improved, Martinez, Silva, Allardyce etc had all given us dire football at some point!
Its been debated on here enough now, Carlo has gone, our home form was awful, Covid Related(fans?) who knows, towards the end Carlo did look a little dis-interested for me and perhaps some disharmony existed in the inner circles but from what i have read players etc were all shocked so who knows!
I liked him and his record previously, was a definite Marquee Manager but hes gone, in a way that was far from acceptable but we move on as we always do.
Im here for Everton not for a manager as such, as Everton will be around long after any manager will ever be!
just not Rafael!

Ive no problem with admitting that Carlo finished 10th and ultimately failed when he had a very good chance of landing top 4, all we had to do was beat some very bad teams. No problem at all with saying he crapped the bed.If anything shouldn't "we had a chance at top 4 but completely choked it away and finished 10th" be a bad thing?
When the performances are terrible and you finish mid-table because of it that leaves you nowhere for the next season.Ive no problem with admitting that Carlo finished 10th and ultimately failed when he had a very good chance of landing top 4, all we had to do was beat some very bad teams. Just the fact that you claiming the whole season was a write off due to performances, thats my issue.
We didnt finish 10th cos of performances, we finished 10th cos of results. When the performances are terrible and you finish mid-table because of it that leaves you nowhere for the next season.
The finish was predictable, even when we were "competing" for 4th, and that was because of performances. We didnt finish 10th cos of performances, we finished 10th cos of results.
