they beat Juventus. cos the winners of the cup play the winners of the league. He just wins things, cups championships the lot. I haven't got a problem with that.

Do you count us winning the sportspesa cup as ending our cup drought?

Two major trophies hes won in 15 years and one of those teams he took the previous seasons champions league winners and made them europa league winners.

Listening to the latest A View from the Bullens podcast with Michael Ball, gives his thoughts on Mr Creosote possibly being our manager. A good podcast. The lads who created it come across as decent chaps too.

I was pointing out that he had won trophies since 2013, as it had been erroneously asserted he'd won nothing since then. But youre right, they aren't his best ones. I'm sure he'd point you to the three european finals (two wins) and two championship wins in Spain. And these are wins where he's never been given a blank cheque like Mourinho or SAF. He's had to fight for those wins probably more than any A list manager. I can't think of anyone else who could take over from that team Houllier had and win the CL nine months later.

Chelsea were already out the Champions league when he took over

So he built the Chelsea team that had won tye champions league the season before and he took a second place Napoli spent 160m and took them to 4th and 5th failing to qualify for the champions league both times.

I think claiming that he built those teams to be better is stretching it a bit.
Wasn’t it Mourinho who had a pop at him, as everything he won was taking over ready made sides who were either in finals or latter stages of competitions.

Does great till he says give it to Duncan, then he sounds like a drunk guy in a pub coming up with a plan to rob a bank

Yeah to be honest I’m not that excited at the idea and what makes it worse is I have no clue as who to suggest otherwise either.

Nothing against Duncan , he’s been there with a few managers now , approaching 50, what’s the end goal with him being on the staff a priority.
