Likewise I don’t want Benitez. I can understand why the board would consider him as a safe pair of hands potentially but I think it’s obvious he will not get any sort of patience from the fans given his links to the RS.

Don’t in any way condone the banners. He is a human being at the end of the day. There are ways to make a point without resorting to that sort of abuse.

Neither do I, I thought we were better than that, do not want Benitez in any way at all, but end of the day the man has a family that lives here and I find it abhorrent.

Good lucid response
While I make a logical case for him I actually don’t think he is the best we can get
But and it’s a big but
The fume on the RAWK is almost worth us having Rafael alone
Peace in return brother
*beams '@mods' Bat Signal up into sky* (happy now Bruce?)
Guys get hold of this maniac will you!
He's calling me lucid now lol

Inappropriate Language
How about we suck it up and get behind whoever wants to run this ship ? Otherwise its another year of moaning although I know that will suit a fair few of you on here. Season starts in two months. Take a breath....
What the [Poor language removed] , just seen them flags has dave K learnt how to spell ? bad darts that. [Poor language removed] him off but not like that

FWIW I’m good with Rafael on the merits. I’d be interested in Ten Hag but Rafael has the track record.

my concern is that this is Moshiri and not Brands. If Brands is to have the title and the board seat then give him his working budget to hire a manager snd let him do it. Let him do his job. One bad general is better than two good ones etc.
So did Ancelotti.
CV, Experience, and Interview, gets you the job.
Performance and Results keep you the job.

For whatever reason(s) he was doing poorly and getting worse...and I wasn't by any means a 'plotter' - even on my worst day I was only agnostic and I thought he had it in him to turn it round next season.

hmmmm…

Okay mate, let’s completely ignore Joe Royle, who led us to our last trophy then…. Sure.
Joe Royle was 45 when he became our manager. That was after managing Oldham for 12 years. So he was 33 years of age when he took the Oldham job. We are looking to appoint pensioners.

Carlo is 62, Benitez is 61.

Correct me if I'm wrong...and Im sure some will, even if I'm not.
But
It's been 40yrs since a manager started poorly and got better...1981 Kendall.
Our options seem to be*
Decent start - all turns to shight.
Average to poor start - gets worse.

*Moyes was all over the place like a mad womans shight - 7th 17th 4th 11th etc.

If it was Benitez just as if it were Nuno it would have been done by now. They're both out of work, this could easily have been done with an out of work manager.

That being said, who the ever loving F knows who they really are looking at...
My feeling now that this has happened twice is they're interviewing people and whoever claims to know what is going on is telling tales to the press while not realizing that the talks are just feelers.

The guy has won more major European trophies than Everton Football Club as a whole, partly because our greatest team was banned from the European Cup due to the RS fans. He’s also been to more European finals as a manager than Man City.

He’s got a better pedigree that some of the guys we’ve been linked with, the likes of Potter and Bruce etc.

I’d be willing to give him a chance if he was appointed.

Might be an out of left field appointment this one.

moshiri loves his Hollywood managers and Carlo was kept close to the clubs chest before he was revealed.

Mateo forward Zidane!

When you have managers having 2nd or 3rd interviews, you know you have got it wrong.

Imagine a Guardiola or a Klopp demeaning themselves to have multiple interviews.
